I went to my first baseball game tonight. It was pretty cold and I slept a little, but it was exciting - especially when I appeared on the jumbotron. Tonight, If I could talk I would be one of 35,000 people who could say that I have seen every major league baseball game ever played at Petco Park. It was indeed the first Major League game ever played at Petco Park - the Padres played the Mariners in an exhibition game. Jake Peavy started for the Padres - which was cool because he and I have the same name.....Jake...not Peavy. Petco was beautiful. It was the first ballpark that I have ever been in, but everyone around me seemed to be really impressed. Mom and dad waited 9 months for me to arrive - but, Padres fans have supposedly waited years and years for Petco Park to arrive. I liked it so much that I will definitely tell dad that I want to go to a lot of Padres games while we live here just a few blocks from the Park.
