At 4:12 pm (local time) today, Cody Samuel arrived at the Royal Hospital for Women in Sydney, Australia. He was 3015 grams and a half of a metre long (about 6 pounds, 10 ounces and almost 20 inches). Mum and baby were awesome and had a very quick and relatively easy delivery. They do things a lot different here than they do in the USA. No Apgar test, much less comotion in general and most importantly - no hats. Jake got a hat and that same blanket that every American baby is pictured it with the stripes. At least we will be able to tell which one is which when we look at the pictures in 30 years. Speaking of pictures - definitely check them out at Cody's First 24 Hours. Also make sure you read the indiviual perspectives of the big day at each of the boys' own respective websites: JacobTy.com and CodySam.com.
Another quick thought: Jake was born almost exactly 3 1/2 years ago (March 5, 2004) and mum and dad were married almost 7 years ago (September 10, 2000) - so those of you who belive in patterns, get ready for early March 2011 - something big is bound to happen in this family
